Another reason to remove DRM

Finally, someone with real clout is calling for the declining music industry to abolish DRM (Digital Rights Management). Steve Jobs, the Apple, Inc. CEO, published some of his thoughts on the DRM debate today.

He brings up a great point that the Big 4 in the music industry are selling 90% of their music DRM free via CDs. Yet, they make the biggest stink over the bottom 10%. Instead of wasting the millions of dollars in protecting DRM, companies like Apple or Microsoft and the music industry could be innovating new devices and applications that aren't dependent upon such wasteful requirements and profits would surely rise.
